ABOUT
Once Upon a PlayTime Photography began in 2009 on the Gold Coast (formerly JiNcHaR Photography) and has been capturing childcare, kinder, and preschool memories in Melbourne since 2011.
In 2020, Once Upon A PlayTime Resources was born, starting with Father’s Day mugs and quickly expanding to craft packs and seasonal items.
In 2022, Once Upon A PlayTime Educational Toys launched, offering a wide range of over 120 educational toys for schools, childcare settings, and families across Victoria and Australia.
Now in 2025, Once Upon A PlayTime Mini Academy has launched, providing play-based, drop-off workshops led by a qualified teacher. Our sessions prepare children for a confident start to school, fostering independence, creativity, and a love of learning.
Coming in 2026: Once Upon A PlayTime Homeschool workshops for children aged 6–9, featuring hands-on science experiments, STEAM challenges, and creative crafts in small, social groups.
Meet Janeeva
I’m Janeeva, a VIT-registered teacher with over 15 years’ experience in childcare, having worked with children from birth to 10 years as a teacher, educational leader, and centre director. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education and have a passion for creating hands-on, engaging learning experiences for children.
As a mother, teacher, photographer, former homeschool educator, and owner of Once Upon A PlayTime, I aim to provide enriching, hands-on workshops and educational resources for children. My goal is to foster a love of learning, nurture curiosity, and support school readiness through engaging, play-based experiences that build confidence, creativity, and independence.
